In a special behind-the-scenes video released to celebrate Ranbir Kapoor's 44th birthday, the actor's transformation into Lord Rama for the upcoming film 'Ramayana' has been unveiled. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film features an impressive cast including Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, and Sunny Deol as Hanuman. 'Ramayana' is being produced by Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios in partnership with DNEG and Yash's Monster Mind Creations. The first part is slated for release during Diwali 2026, followed by the second part in 2027. The film will be available in multiple languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam, with global distribution handled by Sony Pictures, excluding India, where Dharma Productions will manage the Hindi market release. An IMAX release is also planned, promising a grand cinematic experience.
