Four-Year-Old Boy Injured in High-Speed Car Accident in Nagpur

A serious incident unfolded in Nagpur on September 23, when a four-year-old boy named Shivansh Sachin Deshmukh was critically injured after being struck by a car allegedly driven at high speed. The accident occurred around 4 AM while Shivansh was playing outside his home in Teacher’s Colony, located on Bharatwada Road.

According to local police reports, the driver lost control of her vehicle, resulting in the collision with the child. The incident was recorded by CCTV cameras, which showed the moment of impact as well as Shivansh falling onto the road. He sustained significant injuries, particularly to his head and other areas of his body, prompting immediate medical attention.

Shivansh was rushed to Bhavani Hospital for treatment. Reports indicate that after the incident, the woman driving the car left the hospital premises in her vehicle. This action raised concerns among local residents and Shivansh's family, leading to a protest at the Kalamna Police Station, where they demanded accountability and swift action against the driver.

In response to the public outcry, Shivansh’s father, Sachin Haribhau Deshmukh, along with a local corporator and other community members, voiced their frustrations, creating a tense atmosphere at the police station. Following the complaint filed by the family, the Kalamna Police took action by registering a case against the driver under relevant legal provisions. The police have also seized the vehicle involved in the accident and are conducting a thorough investigation.
