Lakshya Raichandani's 210* Powers India U-19 to Strong Lead

In a stunning performance, Lakshya Raichandani scored an unbeaten 210 runs off 256 balls, leading India Under-19 to a dominant position on day two of the first Youth Test against Australia Under-19. By the end of the day, India had amassed 430 runs for the loss of 8 wickets, establishing a significant 213-run lead over their opponents, who had previously scored 217 runs.

The day began with India resuming their innings at 8 for no loss, but they faced early setbacks, losing two wickets by the 14th over. Australia’s Kasey Barton and Spencer Green made early breakthroughs, putting pressure on the Indian batting lineup. However, captain Yashbardhan Chauhan joined Raichandani, and together they formed a solid partnership, adding 124 runs to stabilize the innings. Raichandani reached his fifty in just 69 balls, while Chauhan contributed a steady 54 runs off 81 balls.

Despite losing four partners in quick succession, Raichandani remained resolute at the crease. He built a crucial partnership with Ayaan Akram, adding 51 runs for the seventh wicket.
