Nothing has officially launched its latest over-ear headphones, the Headphone (1) Pro, following a series of teasers. This flagship model is designed to deliver superior sound quality and features a robust build using materials like glass and titanium. The headphones are equipped with triple drivers, including a 40mm dynamic driver for bass, a precision dynamic driver, and an xMEMS driver with a silicone diaphragm for treble, ensuring a rich audio experience.
In terms of sound technology, the Headphone (1) Pro offers Dynamic Spatial Audio with head tracking capabilities, allowing users to choose from various modes such as Standard, Live House, Club, Concert Hall, and a special mode inspired by Studio B at Metropolis Studios. Additionally, the headphones are Hi-Res Audio certified, further enhancing their appeal to audiophiles.
The active noise cancellation (ANC) feature has been significantly upgraded, now utilizing a total of 10 microphones to achieve up to 46 dB of noise reduction. The design of the headphones maintains a resemblance to the original Headphone (1), but introduces a scratch-resistant glass enclosure. The use of lightweight titanium and an aluminum frame contributes to a premium feel, while the padding thickness has been increased, and the headband is 10% wider for improved comfort.
With an IP52 rating, the Headphone (1) Pro is designed for durability and includes tactile switches for ease of use. Connectivity options are extensive, supporting Bluetooth 6.1 with features like Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair, along with dual connectivity and low-latency mode. The headphones also support various audio codecs, including AAC, SBC, LDAC, and LC3.
The battery life is impressive, with the 1,060mAh battery providing up to 30 hours of usage with ANC activated and up to 68 hours without it. Fast charging via USB-C is also supported. Available in black and white, the headphones weigh 327g and come with a padded carrying case, making them a stylish and functional choice for music lovers.
