Samsung Galaxy S25 and Z Fold8 Series Prices Set to Rise by ₹10,000

Samsung is preparing to raise prices for its flagship smartphones in India, with the Galaxy S25 series and Galaxy Z Fold8 series expected to see a significant increase. According to tipster Abhishek Yadav, the Galaxy S25 and S25 Ultra may become ₹10,000 more expensive starting from the first week of October, while the Z Fold8 series is anticipated to follow with a similar hike by October 10.

The Galaxy S25 currently has a starting price of ₹74,999 for the 12GB+128GB variant, with the 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB models priced at ₹84,999 and ₹1,04,999 respectively. Should the price hike be implemented, the starting price for the Galaxy S25 could rise to ₹84,999, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra, currently priced at ₹1,19,999 for the 12GB+256GB variant, could start at ₹1,29,999.

In addition to the S series, the Galaxy Z Fold8 series is also set for a ₹10,000 increase. The Z Fold8 currently starts at ₹1,74,999 for the 12GB+256GB model, while the Z Fold8 Ultra begins at ₹1,94,999. If the price hike takes effect, the Z Fold8 could start at ₹1,84,999, with the Ultra model starting at ₹2,04,999.

This anticipated price increase aligns with a broader trend in the smartphone market, where flagship devices are seeing rising costs. Recently, Samsung raised prices for its Galaxy S26 series, with increases ranging from ₹15,000 to ₹25,000. This follows a similar move by Apple, which raised prices for the iPhone 17 in India. As competition heats up, both Samsung and Apple are among the last major brands to adjust their flagship pricing, while many Chinese manufacturers have already implemented multiple price hikes.

As of now, Samsung has not officially confirmed these upcoming price increases for the Galaxy S25 and Z Fold8 series. Consumers and industry analysts will be closely monitoring the situation as the expected dates for the price adjustments approach.
