Samsung Galaxy S25 Series and Z Fold7/Z Flip7 Receive One UI 9 Update

Samsung has officially started the rollout of its One UI 9 update for the Galaxy S25 series, which includes the S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. The update was first made available in South Korea on September 16, 2023, and is set to reach users in the United States by September 23. This latest version of One UI is built on Android 17 and promises to enhance the overall user experience with new features and improvements.

Reports indicate that users of the Galaxy S25 series in South Korea began receiving notifications for the One UI 9 update earlier today, including those who did not participate in the beta program. If the rollout follows the same timeline as the S26 series, US users can expect to receive their notifications next week.

Additionally, users who had previously installed the One UI 9 beta on their Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 devices are now transitioning to the stable version of the update. The stable build for the Galaxy S25 series is identified as S938NKSUCDZIF, with a download size of approximately 3.9GB. For Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 users, the stable update is around 500MB, although those upgrading from One UI 8.5 may experience a larger download size.

This update rollout is occurring as per Samsung's schedule, with a press release from Samsung Thailand confirming that the Galaxy S25 and Z series would receive One UI 9 by September 28. Furthermore, the Galaxy S23 FE and other S23 models are anticipated to receive their updates by the end of this year, although specific dates have yet to be confirmed.
