On Tuesday morning, residents of Ashtavinayak Empire in Wanadongri, Nagpur, experienced a frightful moment when a cobra was found inside a kitchen refrigerator. The incident unfolded around 10:30 am at Flat No. 201, where Sarfaraz Sheikh and his family reside. Sarfaraz noticed the snake while getting water before heading to work, triggering panic among his family members.
Upon discovering the snake, Sarfaraz promptly contacted local snake rescuer Akash Meshram. Meshram arrived quickly and began searching the kitchen for the hidden reptile. His search led him to the compressor section behind the refrigerator, where the cobra was concealed. Meshram skillfully extracted the snake, ensuring a safe rescue operation.
The cobra, a venomous species, was identified and subsequently transported to a secure location. After the successful rescue, the snake was released into the forest, much to the relief of the Sheikh family, who were grateful for the swift action taken by the rescuer.
