The iQOO Pad Ultra has officially launched in China, marking its entry as the first gaming tablet equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor. This new device features an 8.8-inch OLED display that supports a refresh rate of 165Hz, making it ideal for gaming enthusiasts. The tablet is designed to be both slim and lightweight, measuring just 5.74mm in thickness and weighing 298 grams. It is priced starting at around $968, making it a competitive option in the gaming tablet market.
In terms of specifications, the iQOO Pad Ultra stands out with its impressive display capabilities. The OLED screen offers a peak brightness of 4,500 nits and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, along with HDR10+ support. This makes it comparable to other leading gaming tablets, such as the Lenovo Legion Tab Gen 5. The device is powered by a robust 9,020mAh battery, which iQOO claims can provide up to 25 hours of video streaming on a single charge.
The tablet also incorporates an active cooling system to enhance performance during extended gaming sessions. It features a 0.94CFM extra-large fan and a heat dissipation area of 23,253mm², ensuring effective thermal management. Additionally, the device comes pre-installed with a PC game emulator and supports various accessories, including a telescopic controller designed to improve the gaming experience.
The iQOO Pad Ultra is equipped with up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage, catering to gamers who require high performance and ample storage space. The base model includes 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, priced at CNY 6,499 (approximately $968), while the higher-end configuration is available for CNY 8,999 (around $1,341). Although there is no announcement regarding its global release, iQOO is expected to launch the Pad Ultra and iQOO 16 in international markets soon.
